Raqesh Vashisht is on cloud nine. The actor is currently seen in a daily, Star Plus’ Maryada, but the future will see him on the big screen. He has two films in his kitty; a Marathi film titled Aaini Ka Baini, directed by Sameet Kakkar opposite Amrita Khanvilkar and Madhur Bhandarkar’s ambitious project Heroine starring Kareena Kapoor. While many others may attribute all this to God, Raqesh gives the credit to his wife, Ridhi Dogra, who plays Priya in Maryada. “I consider Ridhi my lady luck. Since the time she has entered my life, good things have happened to me,” says a happy Raqesh. Both are Virgos; one of the reasons they get along well as they have similar likes and dislikes and they share an amazing bond and connection, shares Raqesh.. He makes sure he spends time with his wife, in spite of his busy schedule. “I can’t upset my lady luck. So I try and take time out for her. And thanks to our show daily soap Maryada, we are able to spend some time together,” adds Raqesh. “I never thought that marriage would be so good. I am enjoying this phase of my life. My bond with Ridhi is special because more than a wife I find a friend in her. I would say I am the luckiest man in the world to have a person like Ridhi in my life,” beams Raqesh.
