They are two of India’s biggest musical brands- HS aka Honey Singh and HR aka Himesh Reshammiya. While both have set the music world ablaze with their chartbusting numbers in the past, Bollywood is still a new terrain, especially for Honey Singh who is making his debut as the negative lead with Xpose. However,making things favourable for Honey is the frenetic wave of popularity that he is riding in the country today which could end up giving Xpose a good opening. A star in his own right, popularity wise it’s Honey who has been holding the higher stakes as compared to Himesh who has now diversified into acting along with singing and composing. When we asked Himesh on who he thought is the bigger brand name, Himesh said, “I don’t think Honey Singh is bigger or smaller than me. He is a superstar and I think I am a multi talented superstar.” It has often been seen how egos clash when two titans work in the same film. But Xpose saw none of those creative differences arising between Himesh and Honey.” We never had any creative differences. We came with completely clean hearts. There was absolutely no ego issues or ego clashes,” said Himesh. Elaborating further on their working equation, Himesh said, “If there was ever any thought of him or me being bigger or smaller, Honey wouldn’t have done this negative role where I am the hero. If I am saying that I am a multi-talented superstar, I have no qualms in saying that is as a negative lead, Honey is the highlight of the film.” Well, highlight or not, we are sure the fans of both HR and HS will ensure that the film gets enough footfalls at least in the first week.
