Hasan Zaidi shares his experience of working on and off-screen in Dishkiyaaon

It’s a dream of every actor to make it big on the silver screen while there are others who want to taste surrounding waters too. Similar is the creative quest of good looking actor Hasan Zaidi who was not satisfied with just being tagged as an actor. Having made it big on TV with shows like Powder, Khottey Sikkey and Shapath, the actor moved to the big screen with Vikram Bhatt’s Horror Stories. And now he is all geared up with his next release Dishkiyaaon in which, apart from being before the camera, Hasan has also worked off screen doing his duty as an assistant director. Briefing about all this, Hasan shares, “The writer-director of the film Sanam (Sanamjit Singh Talwar) and I have been best of friends from long. So when I got to know that he would be directing his first film, I couldn’t stop myself from assisting him. I have worked with the team and involved myself in the complete post production work from VFX, dubbing to promotions. It had been a wonderful learning-cum-fun experience.” Talking about the film, Hasan reveals, “The film is basically about two friends who enter the world of violence and I am the surprise package (winks). In the film, I play the only non-violent person and it’s a very interesting role. At the outset, Sanam made it clear that I had to portray the guy in such a way that he does not command attention and actually should look lost in the group. That was very difficult for it’s quite unlike of an actor’s job,” he adds with a smile. So how has the reaction from his friends and family been? Answers Hasan, “Not many have yet watched the film but I can assure it’s a very mazedaar film and is very pacy. It will hook viewers’ attention for sure. We have planned up a screening tonight with friends and families and only after that will I get to know how much they liked it.” And how had it been working with Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty who are the co-producers of Dishkiyaaon. “The entire team has worked really hard. It’s a first time for Raj-Shilpa too; so they have also tried their level best. And since it’s also a sort of comeback for Harman (Baweja), he too has given all he can to the film. I can just hope that all our hard work pays off well and the audiences love the film,” the talented actor informs. We wish you all the very best with the film Hasan!
