Eminent model and Bengal’s superstar Dev’s rumoured girlfriend Rukmini Maitra says that presently she has no plans to act in films but if a strong script comes her way she will.

“I have been offered films for a very long time but it’s just that I feel films are not my comfort zone. Films mean too much work and then I will have to wait for a long time for my film’s release. Also, the wait for one shot to the other is so taxing. Hats off to the people who work in films!” she said to Tellychakkar.com.  

“Films are not my cup of tea. I have respect for the art but I don’t have the knack for it. I started working at the age of 14 and this year I completed 10 years in the industry but never say never. So, let’s see (what I say) at the next interview, “she added with a smile.

When quizzed about the factors she will consider before signing a film, she quipped, “The script has to be interesting. I don’t mind not being the hero of the film.”

“I don’t care what the characters are but the script of the film should be the hero. I think if something like that comes to me, I just might say yes,” she added.  

So, will the audience see you pairing up with Dev in the film? Laughing out loud she replied with a wink, “I don’t know with whom…let’s see.”

“Believe me, till now there are no plans as such but then you know life is unpredictable. If something has to happen it will happen,” she added.

The 5.10 ft tall stunning model was present at the launch of the Label 'Prahnaaya' at a fashionwear store in Kolkata.

Commenting on the newly launched fashionable clothing for women, she said, “Today girls of my age, who are in their 20s, want to blend fashion with comfort. And the best thing about Prahnaaya is it is very original in a way that I can be myself in it.”

“It’s comfortable as well as trendy,” she signed off.
