Mohit Malik shares his Durban 'fan' experience

Mohit Malik
Actor Mohit Malik is back from his successful trip to Durban wherein he mesmerized his fans with his dancing prowess. Along with Mishkat Varma (lead of Zee TV’s Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya), Mohit had a whale of a time performing in front of a packed audience in the huge arena, ICC Durban. Mohit and Mishkat danced on two different solo numbers, and impressed one and all present at the recent event held in the city. Says Mohit, “It was a thrilling tour and we enjoyed to the core. I never knew that my show on Zee TV, Doli Armaanon Ki and my character of Samrat are so well-received in Durban. I think our show has the biggest of fans out there. They simply love my character, even though Samrat does all the negative deeds on the show. I am happy and glad that they like me for my performance.” Mohit Malik as Samrat, simply loves it when he abuses his wife on the show. And this is exactly what one of his female fans love in him. On a funny yet shocking fan interaction during the event, Mohit avers, “Well, I was stunned when a girl came up to me and said that she simply loves it when I abuse my on-screen wife. She requested me to take her as my wife, and abuse her. I did not know how to react, after hearing this. With a stunned expression on my face, I yelled back at her, asking her whether she was mad.” In addition to Mishkat, Mohit was accompanied by his wife Additi Shirwaiker in his trip to Durban. Talking about the private time he spent with his wife, Mohit expresses, “It was a two-day trip to Durban. Hence we had less of time together. However, we enjoyed the time spent together on the flight journey. Additi enjoyed my performance, and I was glad. The idea of extending the trip and having some joyous time with her was indeed open, but I could not have taken a longer break from shoot. My producer Pearl Grey, creative team and EP had been kind enough to grant me leave for two days. I could not afford to take a longer break from work.” In spite of the schedule being tight, Mohit managed to steal some time to get into a mall for shopping. However, he simply could not shop. “I was completely mobbed at the mall, and could not do any kind of shopping. I had to return empty-handed and get back on my flight (smiles)”, expresses the actor. Mohit, carry on your good job as Samrat!!
