X Factor is all set to showcase their gala round to viewers on June 10 and the contestants are all charged up for the same. The gala rounds on the show are yet to begin and there is some upheaval already. A contestant of Shreya Ghoshal’s team has backed out of the show citing personal reasons. Since this has come just prior to the gala rounds a replacement has been worked out. A source tells us, “Contestant Mona Shevade backed out at the last moment. She was selected in the final twelve and was part of Shreya Ghoshal’s team. But she had some personal problems due to which she had to back out. She is married and has kids and getting involved in the show would have distanced her from the kids. She has therefore been replaced by a 63 year old retired government officer whose name is Kartar Singh. He is a surprise for the upcoming episode and is the eldest participant on the show.” As they say old is gold, let’s wait and watch to find out if Kartar ji manages to shine.
