Actress Priyanka Sarkar says that she is happy and excited to play four different roles in Arnab Midday’s debut Bengali film Andarkahini.

“The base of Andarkahini is relationship. I am happy and excited to play four different roles in the film,” Priyanka said to Tellychakkar.com.  

She added, "It is an important film in my career."

Andarkahini is a women centric film. There are four different stories in it and Priyanka is playing the central character in all of them.

Giving a brief account on the film, she shared, “The first story explores a girl’s relationship with her father and her boyfriend. The second one is about a couple who is struggling after recession.”

“The third story focuses on the relationship between a brother and his sister. Their parents are no more and they run a tea stall which they want to promote. And the fourth story is about a girl and her friend who is also a girl,” she added.  

The Chirodini Tumi Je Amar and Rajkahini famed actress said that she had to mould herself a lot to get into the shoes of the characters of third and fourth story.

She quipped, “I had to break and mould myself a lot to play the character of the girl who runs a tea stall. To be like one of them, I had to observe them to understand their body language and communication style.”

“Playing the role of the girl of the fourth story, who is a villager, too was not easy. Her language and pronunciation were different so it was a challenge to mouth the dialogues. However, my director made it easy for me. He is a sorted person. The script was written in such a way so that I can deliver my dialogue smoothly,” she added.

The beautiful Bong actress also mentioned that all the four stories have been woven nicely.

She observed, “Each story is different from the other and not for a moment one will feel that a particular story has been stretched or explored more that the other.”

Andarkahini also stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma, Sayani Ghosh, Anindya Chatterjee, Siddhartha Chatterjee, Sumit Samaddar, Nitya Gnguly and others.

Produced by the director himself, the film will release in 2017.
