Kritika Kamra is better known as Arohi of Kitani Mohabbat Hai fame. This Balaji Telefilms daily went off air recently. Though it never got high TRPs but Kritika was widely appreciated for her role. In fact, she was touted as the new poster girl of Balaji Telefilms. Strangely, the girl refused not one but two Balaji shows - Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai and Pyaar Ka Bandhan. The buzz goes that she refused Bayttaab… as she wasn’t comfortable playing the second lead while in Pyaar Ka Bandhan she was not very comfortable sharing screen space with three other protagonists. A source says, “Kritika bagged the lead role in Kitani Mohabbat Hai which also managed to got her a good fan following. After doing the main role, she was not very keen to do a second lead in Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai. She was also offered one of the leads in Pyaar Ka Bandhan but she thought with three others actor playing leads, her character will be sidelined.” When contacted, Kritika offered a different take. “Yes Ekta offered me both the roles but she always wanted me to do Pyaar Ka Bandhan because that show is very close to her heart. But things didn’t work out and I am not doing any of the shows,” said Kamra. Adding further she says, “Things did not work out for Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai while for Pyaar Ka Bandhan Ekta wanted me to start shooting immediately. But since I had been shooting continuously for Kitani Mohabbat Hai, I could not take a break. Now that it is over I wanted to go for a small holiday and was not keen to shoot for Pyaar Ka Bandhan right away. So I did not take up the show. Besides, I had been getting roles similar to what I have played in Kitani Mohabbat Hai but now I want to do different and more appealing roles. So, I’ll just wait for the right show to come my way so. I am not in a hurry to sing anything that’s coming my way”. We hope Kamra’s patience is duly rewarded.
