Mumbai: Gurmeet Choudhary while shooting forc 'Paltan' chanced upon a local family. So touched he was with the family's welcome that he spent time and broke bread with them. Known for his generosity, the talented actor, came to know about their hardships and offered to cover the educational expenses of their children and provide them resources for farming. 

Gurmeet shared, “My experience of shooting was made even more special with the local family, I had the chance to meet in Punjab. They treated me like I was family. I had the most fun spending time with them. It was a really nice experience knowing them, their culture and their tradition. It reminded me of my younger days with my family. They were so affectionate; it was one of the most beautiful experience . I am always there to support them, in whichever way I can.”
