Kids today are among the most blessed lot. Unlike olden days, television in the new century offers kids plethora of options when it comes to visual entertainment. From cartoons, to quiz contest, fiction shows to even cookery ones, Indian television has opened up new avenues when it comes to kids entertainment. Let's take a look at the nominees of the 13th Indian Telly awards Best Kid's Programme Baal Veer (SAB TV) Optimystix Entertainment helmed Baal Veer deals with the adventures of a supernaturally blessed kid both in human and fairy land. The show has been able to capture the undivided attention of kids both male and female alike. The show touched a new high when its TRPS soared ahead of the uber popular Mahadev and Hatim. Bournvita Quiz Contest (Colors) The oldest and most prestigious quiz contest of India has only evolved with time. Led by the redoubtable quiz guru Derek ' Brien, Bournvita Quiz contest made a comeback on Indian television in 2011 after it was discontinued in 2007. Given the power of social media today, the quiz contest has managed to keep itself trending. Captain Tiao (Disney) Master Sadhil aka Captain Tiao's curious and uninhibited nature of quizzing will unfailingly put a smile on your face. When Sadhil entered Tellychakkar's den to be its guest editor, little did we know that the young kid would have the entire office dancing to his tunes. From interviewing celebrities on their favourite snack to their guilt trips to making them spill beans on a lot many personal things, Captain Tiao manages to complete his interrogation in style. Junior Master Chef - Swaad Ke Ustaad (Star Plus) Can kids cook? Well,Junior Master Chef found out just that by unearthing talented kid chefs of our country. Many kids in the age group of 9 to 12 participated in the reality show which was ultimately won by Sarthak Bhardwaj of Dehradun. The show also had famous chefs as judges including Vikas Khanna, Chef Jolly and Kunal Kapur. DID Li’l Masters Season 3 (Zee TV) No other sight in the world is much more admirable than watching a tiny tot groove with grace. Dance India Dance Li’l Master Season 3 gave us many such smiling moments when little kids with zero inhibitions showed the world that they can match adults step to step when it comes dancing. Season 3 of Lil Master was extremely well received and winning the prize this time was a 11-year old little girl from Nepal. Indian Idol Junior (Sony Entertainment Television) When a mellifluous note emerges out of the sweet neck of a tiny tot, time stands still and you are forced to be a transfixed admirer of the little bundle of talent. Indian Idol Junior brought together many such prodigal talents on one platform where singing took centerstage. With judges like Vishal-Shekha and Shreya Ghoshal to guide them, one got to see the best of next generation singers of India. 11-year old Anjana Padmanabhan took the final crown home.
