What better a way for a girl to usher in her birthday than through a party with her favourite girl pals? That is exactly what Reshmi Ghosh who plays Goolika in Life OK’s Savitri did last night when her birthday chimed in. The pretty actress is celebrating her birthday today (20 July 2013). She has received hand bags, makeup, dresses and sarees as gifts. She told us, “With my girl friends I wined, dined and cut a cake.” Her husband Siddharth Vasudev had given her his card to “shop till she drops”. She went to Zara and picked up a huge collection of clothes for herself. Reshmi feels that this birthday is her best one till date. She explains, “This is after all my first birthday after my marriage.” Her dream birthday vacation is to Kashmir with her husband. “Siddharth is half Kashmiri. I have heard so much about the place since my childhood.” Her birthday wish is for good health. “We often suffer from some ailment or the other. If our health is robust we can do whatever we want to.” The voluptuous Neetu Wadhwa better known as Roopwati of Laagi Tujhse Lagan turned a year younger today. When we called her to wish her a happy birthday she informed us that she was busy shooting for an upcoming Bollywood film. “I don’t have major plans for today. Some close friends from the film industry will be driving down all the way to Panchgani to where I am shooting. Later my unit guys will have a small impromptu party for me tonight after we wrap up the day’s work,” she added. “I will abide by my normal birthday routine after returning to Mumbai which includes going to the Gurdwara and feeding orphans. Later in the day I will hang out with friends and let my hair down literally.” Neetu who has done a play shared with us about a big dare she had done last year on her birthday. “We were at a cool restaurant playing truth and dare. My buddies dared me to get on the table and perform on a hot item number. They all thought I that I would chicken out but being a bindaas babe I just removed my shoes got on the table. My friends then played Munni Badnam Hui and danced away merrily. The whole place burst into applause and there were many cats calls too,” she smiled. He met a Congress Minister from Delhi who complimented him for being one of the finest actors in the country. “I felt so proud on hearing that and felt grateful to God.” When asked what his birthday wish was he replied, “In India religion should not be on the roads but inside the hearts. I pray for the happiness of the entire nation.” He would love to go with his son Sooraj Berry sailing on a yacht on this blessed day, “My son has the potential to be the next superstar of India,” he told us. She told us that it was too personal for her to disclose what exactly that spiritual way was. She would love to go to Vrindavan with her friends as a birthday vacation as the place is associated with Lord Krishna.
