The cyber crime based show MTV Webbed 2 (Lost Boy Productions and Balaji Telefilms) is all set to present a tale with talented actors Mahesh Shetty and Priyamvada Kant playing the leads. Touted to be one of the darkest stories in the show, the episode will have Priyamvada playing a small town young girl who will be left depressed after her mom’s death. With her dad being too conservative and her sister too bossy, she will find solace in a stranger (Mahesh) on the internet. The friendship will soon blossom in love and he will come down to her place to meet her. There, she will open up about her dreams of becoming a dancer and living a free life. He will encourage her and ask her to come down to Mumbai where he will help her make it big in the entertainment industry. And what would follow will be extremely tragic and viewers will be left shocked by the developments. Speaking on her role Priyamvada shares, “I have not really being keen on doing episodics but when the channel and the production house approached me for this challenging role I couldn’t refuse. Also, I share a good relationship with Vikas Gupta (Programming Head, MTV) and production house Balaji, hence I gave a nod. They showed faith in me and my talent and it has been a great experience shooting for the project.” Mahesh who will once again don the avatar of a bad boy tells: “It’s been quite a long time since I enacted a negative character and thus I was excited to take this up. Also the team has shot the episode in a very crisp and movie like format. It was an interesting concept and I really had a great time shooting.” The episode will be aired tomorrow (20 July).
