Why Punjab is not voting for Vipul

Punjabi munda Vipul Mehta, one of the final four in Voice of India 2 always dreamt of becoming a singer. He grew up watching his dad sing who too wanted to be a singer. Vipul used to give rhythm support by banging on the door or table while his father sang. Such an upbringing got him more and more inclined towards music.

Vipul informs, “Singing was my father's dream and I am living it for him. My father too wanted to be a singer but couldn’t pursue singing as a career due to some family issues. My father had to sacrifice his dream only to see his parents happy. His dedication to the art has inspired me.” His grand father wanted Vipul’s father to join his family business. He tried to convince his family that he wanted to pursue music but the financial conditions did not get him support from his family. As he saw Vipul grow and his love for music grow he decided that he would support his son in fulfilling his dream. He thinks he has almost achieved his dream because Vipul has reached the top 4 of Voice of India . He has been consistently receiving accolades from his mentors, host and the audience. But Vipul fears that the unfortunate incident where the winner of VOI 1 winner Ishmeet Singh died might affect his votes adversely. He says, “Ishmeet was the voice of India and Punjab as well. He was an amazing singer and Punjab was very proud of him. His death was untimely and the wounds are yet not healed. I fear if the people from Punjab can really relate to any music reality show. They are still wary of voting for anyone who hails from their state but I have not lost hope and I will try to convince them by giving flawless performances till the time I last on the show.” With the judges’ support and backing we don’t think Vipul needs to worry.
