Sudhanshu fumes, combats Akela

With the year coming to an end it seems the trend of wrapping up is catching on big time with our TV shows as well. Joining the list of serials who have called it curtains is Sony's thriller, Akela. Its first season of 26 episodes is coming to an end. But the show will be back after two months and what's more newsy is that the protagonist played by Sudhanshu Pandey may or may not be a part of the second season. Reason being - his high handed attitude!
So we contacted the actor himself and here's the version from the horse's mouth. "It was very upsetting to read reports that the show has been cut short due to my rude attitude on sets. I don't have to say much in this regard except for the fact that my reputation for the last 10 years is enough to do the talking. The actual fact is that my film with Sanjay Gupta titled Alibaugh is going on the floors very soon and that leaves me with little time to devote to other projects. Even I may not be able to do Akela's season 2 if my film shoot extends till then. But this should never mean that there is bad blood on the sets. I don't know why people are pining to lap up controversies around the show. It is so ridiculous." The actor was referring to an article published in a section of the press that talked about his unprofessional behaviour on the sets. Sudhanshu who plays the protagonist Ranveer in the show says that his producer was shocked to read the things attributed to the show. "The article quoted an anonymous source on the sets and I wonder how credible this anonymous source is. He/she has surely got the facts wrong" Yeah Sudhanshu you may be right in your own way but I would hardly find a better occasion to mention the old adage 'there's no smoke without the fire. 'How's that?
